About the Vacancy


The Functional Application Specialist Logistics Solutions (LS) is part of the global implementation team based in the Netherlands (Breda), and will be supporting diverse implementation projects throughout Europe. He /she will describe the solution in the customer concept and will assess the blueprint, if the described solution is in line with the Customer Concept Document. The Functional Application Specialist LS will is responsible for verifying functional/technical aspects of the developed solution for new customers/warehouses.


What will you do?

As our Functional Application Specialist LS you will assist in delivering implementations, upgrades, expansions, enhancements and new technologies, making the ideal integration among requirements, buildings and systems and/or for leading and managing suggestions, designs and developments of new functionalities and add-ons to systems.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Designing of software and operational requirements for new customers
  • Co-responsiblity for documentation of software and operational requirements for new customers:
    - Co-creating and outlining customer requirements and developing software functionalities that are in line with new customers. Need to participate in customer scoping sessions and assist in the process to develop all needed functionality to be able to execute the solution.
    - Validating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in accordance with the site design and customer requirements for new and       existing sites.
  • Assisting during the testing of (new) software functionality, such as Warehouse Management System (WMS) and the Material Flow Control System (MFCS) Factory and acceptance tests (FAT) and during training of (new) software functionality.
  • Assisting operations during key activities in initial start-ups and advises on improvements to the process.
  • Investigating and assessing the WMS support team indirect in new projects. The goal is to keep reviewing if the developed software solution is carried out during the whole project.
  • Reporting any observed difference between the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and actual process to the Integration Manager Europe. Advising on improvements based on the differences noticed.

      Job requirements

      Who are we looking for?

      Qualifications and Work Experience

      • Bachelor's degree in information technology or comparable

      • 3-5 years of experience in functional application consulting (external or in-house)

      • Good knowledge of logistical and supply chain processes

      • Broad understanding of LS systems and functionalities

      • Experience in mapping logistical processes on software applications

      • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

      • Ability to work independently, plan, and prioritize work

      • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus

      • Open to business travel abroad
